Arklow Baptist Church activities : Each Sunday we hold two services, a morning worship service and an evening worship and teaching service. At present we have Sunday school for the young children in the nursery during the morning service. We are planning to start Sunday school for all ages later this year. We have twenty to twenty-five in attendance most Sunday Mornings. On a Tuesday we have evangelism which we encourage the church people to join in and some do. We do door-to-door soul winning, sometimes street-preaching on the Main Street and sometimes ladies visiting. Oriel is usually out once or twice in addition to Tuesday, making calls on lost contacts or going door-to-door. On a Wednesday Night, we have a children’s club which two families from the church are very involved in. We had a high a few weeks ago of 21 children and were very encouraged. We bring in children from unchurched homes and minister to our church children also. Several have been saved through this. Some Thursday Nights, Oriel will witness to drug addicts at a health clinic in Arklow. Every Second Saturday we have a men’s breakfast and Bible Study at the church which is well-attended. We have ladies meetings every so often as well. Of course there are many hours of prayer, preparation and office work that go on too, which Oriel does weekday mornings and sometimes Saturday too.

Prayer Requests

• To establish a thriving New Testament Church in Arklow County Wicklow.

• To see souls saved, baptized, being discipled and added to Arklow Baptist Church in 2012.

Progress towards goals

We have seen the church continue to solidify in many ways, and we are in the middle of a series on doctrine and are hoping to formally organize the church soon.

We have continued to reach out to towns around us, particularly with the help of the group in August.
